Last night I read, What Every Blogger Needs to Know About Categories, and decided to make some changes on RowdyKittens.
I added a few pages, removed widgets, and rearranged the sidebars. Hopefully, these changes will make the blog easier to read and navigate. RowdyReaders, please tell me what you think. Feedback is always welcome! 
Below is a summary of the changes:
About page
The About page content was changed slightly — click here to review the page.
Tiny House Dream page
The Tiny House Dream page, will discuss our housing goals in-depth. Hopefully, the content for the page will be completed this weekend.
Links
The Links page will include my blogroll and other resources, for RowdyReaders. The content is still a work in progress — if it is not completed this weekend, the page will be done by the end of the week.
Archives
I finally figured out how to add an Archives page to the blog. To make a long story short, when I set up the blog I used the default WordPress Permalinks setting. Using the default setting caused a sinking problem between my server and the archives page.
Pretty Permalinks is something that will be added to the blog, but I need to do more reading on this topic before the transition is complete.
To decrease clutter on the blog, I removed my category and tag widgets. If you are looking for something specific, you can search by month or category on the archives page.
Sidebars
Check out both sidebars — you will find links to RSS and e-mail subscription options. Subscriptions are a great way to stay in touch with The RowdyKitten.
Also, I added a PayPal link for those of you who are interested in donating to our tiny tiny house fund.

I miss the sidebars with the tags. I could hit any of your topics, Tiny Houses for sure, and read everything you’ve ever written on the subject. I used it a lot with the DV and SA stuff as well.

Did you like the set-up of the archives page? Were you able to find what you needed in those categories and via the search engine, under the subscribe menu?
Or would you prefer that I bring back the tags?
Other than the “tag” problem, how do you like the new design? Do you have anymore suggestions for improvement?

To be honest, I didn’t even try the archives page but will tonight when I get home. Ya know it’s difficult to teach “old dawgs” new tricks. I’ll give it a whirl and check out some of the other features as well and then get back to ya. Hugs.

Ohh and check out the About page — I made a few modifications.
Per your request, I added the tag widget back to the blog. But, I may take it down again — let me know what you think about the new features.

OK, I’m won over. I checked out the archives and I can navigate them just fine. In fact, one of the features I really love, and I’m not sure if it has always been here, but I love the “search” feature! That works really well for me. The Tags were quick and convenient, but the archives and links work just as well. I’m sold!!! You rock Rowdy!
OH, BTW, PS… I’ve now got ya RSS feeding to my yahoo page! Yea!!!!!
