Inspiration in British Columbia

by Tammy on January 8, 2009

epu-construction-image-from-tiny-house-designInspiration can arrive in many forms. Today my tiny piece of inspiration came from a story about Gerry in British Columbia.

Gerry’s story inspired me to think about building our own tiny home. We would need help from knowledgeable friends and family members. But this option is worth considering. L suggested “purchasing the Tortoise shell skeleton model (with electrical and plumbing completed) to build up from. For around 7K it would be a great start for beginners like us!”

My hero, Dee Williams, built her own tiny house with the help of friends. So why can’t we do it?

All of us have a tendency to limit ourselves, in terms of what we think we can accomplish or learn. Maybe building a tiny house is in our future?

I guess the Tortoise Shell models are called “naked” now. Here is the appropriate link for the “do it yourself” prices and pictures via the tiny house blog: http://tinyhouseblog.com/galapagos.html
