We’ve talked about doing an extended biking tour for a while, however every time the topic comes up I get a little nervous. It’s hard to think about leaving a good job and lovely apartment but as Russ says, “sometimes you just have to jump.”
Russ and Laura’s story prompted us to seriously talk about doing a cross country biking tour next year. Logan has to finish school first, but following The Path Less Pedaled over the last few months has inspired both of us.
Thinking of taking off on this adventure scares me. But it’s also extremely exciting. I’ve always dreamed of touring the country and since we are car-free it just makes sense to accomplish this dream via bicycle. Another great thing is I could still write on the road and take photos too! That way I could still maintain RowdyKittens.com and lead our nomadic adventure.

Besides the anxiety of the unknown there is one thing I absolutely dread. Leaving my kittens. We’ve been tossing around the idea of touring the country for 3 to 6 months. So I would need to find foster parents for my baby tots while we are away. We haven’t made a final decision about the tour yet. But it’s a possibility.
