A few months ago the New York Times posted an article about a carfree community in Germany. The article was inspiring and made me think about how different U.S. communities would look if they were built around bikes. I stumbled upon a follow-up post about carfree living earlier this week. The article asked urban planners, developers and other experts to comment on the car-free lifestyle.
Enjoy peeps…

I would LOVE this. Although, I don’t know how it’s possible for hubby to cycle 80 miles roundtrip each day to work. I wish Texans would get some brains and install some trains. Every time they try someone freaks out and manages to delay it a little longer. A train would be so much safer and more efficient than driving through wild traffic 2 hours a day.
80 miles would be a rough daily commute by bike. It’s too bad Texans won’t install more trains. ):
Is there anyway you can move closer to your hubby’s job? I used to commute 2 hours a day (via car) and it was so so hard.
