Are you looking for a good book to snuggle up with on cold winter nights? Well, I have just the ticket for you…
Two Wheels North is an inspiring story and a must read for riders.
The book is the true tale of Vic McDaniel and Ray Franciso. In 1909, they finished high school and decided to ride their second-hand bikes to the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition in Seattle.
It’s amazing to think about riding through the west coast 100 years ago. The scenes described in the book are astounding. One of my favorite parts was Vic’s description of Montague and Mt. Shasta. Both cities are close to Little Shasta; one of my favorite places in California.
The story will make you long for the great outdoors and a carfree lifestyle.
If you’re looking for other reading material, Miles from Nowhere is an outstanding travel book.
