Working on my life list and completing my vision map was productive and fun. I’d encourage you to take some time out and work on your own manifesto.
Creating my Vision Map
I pulled a lot of my images from BITCH Magazine and pasted them in my journal. After I glued all the images onto journal pages, I wrote about my short and long term goals and how those goals fit into my life list. Logan is graduating from his Ph.D. program in December and we are both anxious for the end of his schooling. I have some pretty big goals I want to accomplish in the next 5 years. But tiny steps have to be accomplished along the way…
Daily Intentions
Gwen Bell inspired me to start writing down a list of daily intentions. My intentions include 3 to 4 items that I can accomplish everyday. I used to write out long to-do lists and a lot of those items didn’t get done. So by narrowing my list, I’ve accomplished a lot! It’s so simple and easy to do. I don’t know why I wasn’t doing this before. In addition, all of the items on my list are things I want to do. Activities that make me happy.
Contentment, Authenticity and Happiness
Goal setting is positive and working on my life list and vision map is so fun. Setting goals and making plans is a good thing, but it’s also essential to live and love life now. Sometimes goals won’t be accomplished and that’s okay. I have a tendency to get wrapped up in future plans and forget how amazing my life is.
For me simple living is all about finding contentment, happiness and being authentic.
What do you think?

I think I really need to do this. BADLY! Normally I am a HUGE list maker, sketch-and-scrapbook maker and all-around life-planner, but for some reason I am feeling so totally blocked when it comes to doing these sort of activities. I can’t tell if it is because I am afraid to look at my future, or is it that I am just out of truly meaningful goals…it just seems like most of my goals depend on other people, or suddenly waking up rich or beautiful or talented…not sure what to do. Hopefully this will be just what I need to burst out of my funk
This is gorgeous. I _love_ to see hand-written lists like yours. Thank you for sharing, Tammy.
Thanks Gwen – I love taking photos of journals and hand-written items. Hugs to you..
