What a Way to Go got me thinking about a lot of different issues like, peak oil, our degraded ecosystems, and the changing climate.
More than anything the film left me with a lot of questions.
Who do we want to be? Do we really want to be part of the community of life? Looking at the global situation, I wonder why we keep killing the planet? What do we truly want?
So many Americans are unhappy and disconnected. Why? Is the disconnection a result of massive commercialization?
Social disarray, human rights violations, resources wars, and environmental destruction are huge problems. Unfortunately I don’t see a public policy solution in sight. But then again, maybe I’m being too negative?
Before we come up with solutions for all these problems, we need to break through the culture of denial and start talking. Talking will help us see through the smog and help all of us figure out what living a good life means.
I”m hoping that Blog Action Day will start good conversations…
Blog Action Day is an annual event that unites the world’s bloggers in posting about the same issue on the same day on their own blogs with the aim of sparking discussion around an issue of global importance. ~Via The Good Human
