I’m participating in The Best of 2009 Blog Challenge. Are you?
Q. Moment of Peace. An hour or a day or a week of solitude. What was the quality of your breath? The state of your mind? How did you get there?
A. I started practicing about 2 months ago after a friend introduced me to a local yoga studio. I was looking for an alternative to running, since I had to give it up for a few months.
I love practicing yoga in the studio, but with our minimalist yoga and forgoing a studio membership. Plus, I’ll be able to start running again in the New Year! My knee is doing much better. With a little yoga and some running, I’ll have at least an hour of peace everyday.
Breath, solitude and state of mind…
Practicing yoga has improved the quality of my life, keeps me calm and focused on my life philosophy…
Life is short. Do what you love, spend time with family/friends and don’t fret about stupid shit.
What have I learned from yoga?
Yoga is simple, beautiful and difficult. Thanks to the practice of yoga, I’ve learned a number of important lessons in simplicity.
