So there is in fact nothing wrong with cap and trade but with all the compromises that are being made to make sure the market isn’t going to suffer to much. But i don’t think this compromises will make things worse.
But the video was great!

Tammie…of *course* “Cap and Trade” is a fraud. It’s no coincidence that Al Gore has profited to the tune of about $100 Million thus far from his business dealings involving climate alarmism–including the company in London of which he is founding chairman which deals in carbon offset trading. (He even excuses his own profligate use of energy by saying he “bought” carbon offset credits–from himself, as it turns out).
However, the bigger story is that the entire argument that CO2 is a “primary forcer” of climate change is itself highly suspect. If it were, we would hardly have experienced *no* increase in global temperatures for a decade now, in spite of increasing CO2 levels. Historical records, too, do not justify the notion. Generally, CO2 levels increasing have always *followed* periods of increasing temperatures.
It would be a very good idea to read some of the current “Climategate” controversy from all sides, to see how the actual facts have been deliberately manipulated by a surprisingly small group of scientists, who have also consistently refused to release the data upon which they claim to rely…and now they claim to have “discarded” the original data.
Conserving energy and other resources makes great sense, regardless whether one believes in the man-made “global warming” theory or not. However, the measures to “reduce our carbon footprint” and those that are suggested are most likely to simply kill the economy and the standard of living of billions of people worldwide.
