Over the weekend, Logan and I ate amazing food, saw Pink Martini play at the Portland Zoo, and stained the tiny house on Sunday afternoon. In-between these activities, I took a lot of photos, read, and watched my kittens snooze in the loft. In short, I’m enjoying my last few weeks in Portland.
What did you do this weekend?

Tammy, so neat to be able to stain the whole house in a few hours! Great looking concert you attended! And the cat, zoo, and lucious summer foods surely helped round out a great weekend for your guys! I took the whole day off from computers on Saturday, spent a lot of extra time with my four-legged family members, did a tad of yardwork, spent quality time sharing with friends over coffee, etc., and played in our new local jam band. Great conversations with the hubbie, as well.
@Rose – Good for you! I wasn’t on the computer much this weekend and it felt so GOOD! xo.
In contrast I was on the computer WAY TOO MUCH. This wouldn’t have been that bad except it was all consuming, no creating, no writing. I did get out for a while yesterday and sat on a hillside in a local park reading a Game of Thrones for a couple hours though, which was lovely. (the pic I posted to instagram and my tumblog is the view down the hill from where I sat.)
This weekend was an exciting one for me, as I became the proud caretaker of an 8-week-old kitten, Bootsie (Boots for short). It’s been a life-long dream of mine to have a cat, and so I’m happy to share that this weekend involved welcoming our own ‘rowdy kitten’!
Ohhhh how sweet! Please share photos of the little kitten. Xo.
Tammy,
Pray tell me, you are taking the cats with you to the ranch???
hope you do!!!!! I can’t wait to see how they will like the ranch!!!
my family was very pleased.. Specially my brother hehe…
. Now I am trying to cook more and avoid restaurants.. This week worked very well
This weekend I spend more time in my kitchen, made lasagna, baked potatoes and flan for dessert
@Aime – Of course we’re taking the cats. I wouldn’t leave them behind!
xo.

Thanks, Tammy! And yes, absolutely – our little one is featured and pictured on this week’s post at A Wish Come Clear. Here’s the link: http://awishcomeclear.com/blog/2012/08/the-responsibility-of-a-dream-realized-welcome-bootsie/
@Caroline – Ohhh she is so cute.
So happy for you.
Thank you! Thrilled to be able to share her sweet face with you. xo right back.
Beautiful richness on the coffee beans photo. I just discovered your blog and am starting to dig in. My favorite part so far is how the posts, as a whole, flow together and give me a feeling of lightness. Like I need to whisper around here or something. I’m especially fond of your pictures, especially the ones of your tiny house here http://rowdykittens.com/2012/08/tinyhouseandflowers/.
Looking forward to more. Thank you Tammy.
Thanks for the stopping by John and for the kind words. You just made my day.
