About Tammy (@RowdyKittens)
Thanks for clicking the URL in my Twitter profile. Let me give you a little background about @RowdyKittens, the blog and me.
RowdyKittens is a candidly written blog that addresses topics relating to simple living. Themes covered include: downscaling, tiny homes, decluttering, carfree living, among a variety of other topics.
The name RowdyKittens is an oxymoron that caught my fancy. It’s my hope that the writing on this site can help individuals learn to live simpler, happier, calmer lives – kind of like kittens.
RowdyKittens on Twitter
I absolutely adore the Twitter community and I’d love to connect with you via my @RowdyKittens twitter account. If you follow @RowdyKittens you’ll get a number of things, like simple living news updates, information on tiny homes, consumerism, and more.
RowdyKittens the Blog
Blogging and online technologies entered my life in 2007. I started a new job and became interested in the blogosphere, social networking and marketing. I created RowdyKittens primarily to keep friends and family members updated on my life. Surprisingly this has turned into an amazing online community. I’m lucky to have wonderful readers who keep coming back to learn about simple living, tiny homes and other topics.
Why focus simple living? The news is bad and atrocities plague the global community – wars, global warming, economic collapse and more. But there are so many amazing people working on projects that have the potential to create progressive changes (in public policy, industry, and in local neighborhoods).
Many people are changing their lives through the concept of voluntary simplicity and sustainable living. Saying no to consumerism and focusing on sustainable living isn’t easy, but it is something we all have to think about. The planet is crowded and has a limited supply of resources.
